The law firm that eventually
became Olsen, White & Hambidge, LLP started
off in its founder's basement.
In 1950, Ole Olsen Sr. and Clarence Niederhaus
opened Olsen & Niederhaus on the bottom floor of Olsen's
Evansville home. Olsen's children (including Ole Olsen Jr.,
currently the senior partner of Olsen, White & Hambidge,
LLP) all worked at the firm, greeting clients and helping
out on the weekends.
Ole Olsen Jr. joined the firm in 1961,
after graduating from the Vanderbilt University School of
Law; followed by his brother-in-law, Sigmund Labhart Jr. -
strengthening the firm's commitment to family.
"Ole did a ton of work for blue collar
working men and women," said Tim Hambidge, a partner
since 1994. "As a firm, we've done just about every kind
of law for anyone who needed help."
In the late 1960s, Olsen & Niederhaus
moved to its current location, at 123 Locust St. By that time,
the firm had come to pride itself on being a "full-service"
law firm; where many families had an "old family doctor,"
Olsen & Niederhaus was "the old family law firm."
That reputation solidified over the years,
so that when Terry White joined in 1985, and Hambidge in 1991,
they felt like they were joining a community-based, "Mom
and Pop" law firm.
"We've always kind of fancied ourselves
the general practice firm," Hambidge said. "I like
to call ourselves your old family lawyer; we take you from
cradle to grave. We do a lot of family law, a lot of wills
and estates, a lot of divorce law, personal injury and small
business law."
"We feel that the average Joe and
Jane can call on us, and we can take care of them; we're not
a silk-stocking firm. We're the butcher, the baker, and the
candlestick maker's lawyer."
And The Law Team at Olsen, White &
Hambidge can help that butcher, baker and candlestick maker
with almost any legal need.
Our attorneys have a diverse experience,
representing and advising clients in personal injury law,
family law, wills and estates, bankruptcy, consumer law, criminal
law, and small business law. And they are committed to client
satisfaction, through the trust, respect, and an understanding
of the law that we've built over many years of service to
the Evansville community.
Each attorney possesses the highest academic
credentials, strong community ties, and "most importantly"
a deep commitment to your success.
"We demonstrate the strictest personal
and professional ethics," Olsen Jr. said. "And,
above all, we are committed to the needs of our clients."
